28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
God blessed this relationship between men and women. God encouraged this sexuality between men and women, and expected it to be fruitful. This is the ONLY sexual relationship blessed by God which is contained within the parameters of marriage. Sex is like a fire in a fireplace. As long as it remains inside the fireplace, the home is warmed and it contributes to the health of the home. However, if that fire gets outside of the fireplace, the home will be damaged or burned to the ground leaving destruction in it’s wake.
Every time something violates the principles and intended purpose of it’s creation; it will short circuit and prematurely destroy itself.
According to a 1993 report by the Family Research Institute.The average age of a homosexual man dying with AIDS is 39. The average age of gays dying of all other causes is 41. (The average heterosexual married man lives 75 years.) Only one percent of men who practice homosexual sex lives to be 65 or older. Gay men are three times more likely to have alcohol or drug abuse problems. Homosexuals are 14 times more likely to have had syphilis, and 23 times more likely to contract venereal diseases.
Much controversy is brewing over the legality of homosexuality today when it comes to what the bible says about it. The following is not exhaustive but at least you get an overview on how God views homosexuality at different periods throughout history and to our present time.
1. Homosexuality was a grievous sin during the time of the Patriarchs.
In Gen 19:24-28, the destruction of the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah is described. Peter describes the reason for the destruction of these cities were to serve as an example.
2 Peter 2:6 (KJV)
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;
Notice the Lord says this sin is very grievous.
Genesis 18:20 (KJV)
20 And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous;
This sin now is explained in the following as sodomy. These men were wanting sexual relationship with other males.
Genesis 19:5 (KJV)
5 And they called unto Lot, and said unto him, Where are the men which came in to thee this night? bring them out unto us, that we may know them (have sexual relations with).
2. Homosexuality was a capital crime under the Law of Moses!
Leviticus 18:22 (KJV)
22 Thou shalt not lie (have sexual relations) with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination (abhorrent and detestable) .
Leviticus 20:13 (KJV)
13 If a man also lie (have sexual relations) with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination (abhorrent and detestable): they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
3. The New Testament clearly condemns homosexuality!
Romans 1:26-27 (KJV)
26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
Here’s the good news for those caught in the sin of homosexuality.
1 Corinthians 6:9-11 (KJV)
9 Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind,
10 Nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.
The words “nor abusers of themselves with mankind” is described by Joseph Thayer the noted Greek scholar as sodomites or homosexuals.
But here is the good news…
11 And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.
Some of the Christians of Corinth had been homosexual before conversion but NOW they were set free!!!! Now that is GOOD NEWS! A person can repent of their sins and cry out for forgiveness and in a moment every stain removed and a new lifestyle immediately begins.

ReplyDeleteAmen. This is one of the major problems I have at school. Some 'Christians" think that it's okay to support the act, and that saying homosexuality is a sin is judging them. Thank you for explaining it so clearly. God bless
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately that's the method of many who attempt to silence the voice of opposition. I said recently that there is a difference between throwing stones at the people in a burning house and telling/warning them that their house is on fire.
