You say "love" (aka sex) between "consenting adults" should be ok and if they want to get "married", so what? Well...
What if a brother & sister "love" each other? Or a mother & son? Or father & daughter? Or five people? Or a man in his goat? Or a man & his (previously consenting) dead wife? If you disregard God regarding homosexuality, who is to say these things are wrong? See? There has to be a line drawn somewhere, and God needs to be the one who draws it.
Of course gays can have all the equal rights, civil unions, legal contracts, benefits, whatever... just don't go into a church, and mock God, his word, and his house by pretending their "union" is endorsed & blessed by God, when He clearly opposes it.
We ALL sin. That doesn't mean we can't confront sin in society! What do you think the disciples & apostles did, until they were martyred by sin defenders? Jesus confronted sin too. He called corrupt religious leaders "snakes, vipers, and whitewashed tombs". He made a whip and drove the corrupt money-changers from the Temple. He told the adulteress "Go and SIN NO MORE."
Bestiality, pedophilia, incest and homosexuality are exactly the same in the eyes of God, all condemned as aberrant, sinful and unnatural... as are adultery & promiscuity.
God's Word trumps man's ever-changing popular opinion all day, every day, no matter what ANYONE says. Truth is true whether anyone believes it or not.
We are told to confront and never condone or 'embrace' sin, including our own. God has ALREADY 'judged' and spelled out clearly what sin is. We don't have to 'judge'. It doesn't make us "self righteous" when we tell people what God says about sin. That's like accusing a doctor of being "healthier than thou" or a teacher of being "smarter than thou". It's a stupid, immature argument that holds no water.”[1]
